The Bruce Hotel, the popular hostelry in the centre of East Kilbride, has been placed into administration by its owners, after succumbing to the hardships of the economic climate.
Flagship Hotels had bought the 65-room property in 2007 and - despite doing a healthy trade as a wedding venue, restaurant and conference centre - they became unable to service its debt.
Administrators were appointed from the Glasgow office of business recovery…
