Late night snack deliveries prove popular on campus

A new late-night delivery service is proving a huge hit among students studying at the University of Arizona (UA).Munchies is the brainchild of 21-year-old student, Thomas Randall, who dropped out of UA and now attends Pima Community College. The new service offers late-night deliveries to campus, of anything from microwaveable pizza, sandwiches and cereal, to soft drinks, cigarettes and condoms. The convenience store on wheels, at it was referred to in The Republic newspaper, offers the target audience of mostly college students aged 18-20, with everything they need to continue the party at home. Randall said he came up with the idea after thinking about his own experiences at college and how difficult it was to get buy what they needed late at night. He saved some cash, bought some stock, applied for a business license and made a website within the space of around three weeks. He found delivering to campus dorms was fine as he has the same rights as any other outside business – in that he can only go as far as the security desk unless being escorted by a resident.Randall hopes that if the business idea continues to be a success, he could franchise it across other campuses.
