OSB bus tour takes to the road

The OSB Get On Board tour bus has recently been travelling around the country, visiting builders’ merchants to discuss the issues faced by tradesmen.
The campaign is organised by the Wood Panel Industries Federation and backed by companies including Norbord and resin supplier Huntsman. Builders who got on board were treated to a free bacon butty breakfast and a cup of tea whilst they talked to the team about the issues that they face and how products such as OSB could help. Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is an environmentally friendly wood panel used in many general building applications.
As well as a free breakfast, builders also received goody bags, T-shirts and thermos flasks in return for their input and feedback.
Alastair Kerr, director general of the Wood Panel Industries Federation and spokesperson for the tour, commented, “Our economy remains incredibly fragile at a time where green building initiatives are becoming a must in all areas of construction."
He added, “This tour was designed to reach builders on their own soil, so that we could treat them to breakfast and chat to them about the general building and environmental benefits of OSB, as well as discover what is really happening out there.”
Further dates are lined up for later in the summer. Norbord's Sterling OSB2 product is a popular option with construction firms and anyone looking for a versatile alternative to plywood. For more on Sterling OSB, please click here.
