In response to the growing use of online coupon deals among college students, The University Network (TUN.com) has extended the number of campuses and regions it covers.TUN.com lists all the students discounts that are being offered in the vicinity of its partner campuses. The New York-based website was launched in response to the fact that students are finding that their limited income is being stretched even further this year, thanks to higher fees and lower financial aid. As a result, they are always looking for discounts to allow them to enjoy indulgences they would not otherwise be able to afford. The University of Florida is one of the latest colleges to be added to TUN.com’s coverage and new deals are updated all the time, benefiting the student population and the local businesses.TUN.com acts as an advertising tool for businesses that want to target local students with discounts on food, drinks, salon treatments, laundry services, hair cuts or anything else that college students might need.Shannon Eberly, a spokeswoman for TUN.com, explained, "The main goal is to save students money. We try to do that by connecting students with the businesses in their area."
